could anyone tell me if a1500 overdrive gearbox would fit a 1850 if i change the bell housing. ?

any advice would be handy

I don't think the 1500 gearbox will fit an 1850. Somebody more knowledgable will be able to confirm this.

In a word no...

The only bit that is the same is the mainshaft...well slight exageration but the gears layshaft and input shaft are all wrong.

If you want an 1850 o/d box I have one we can maybe do a deal with?
