My insurance is up for renewal on MSO, so thought I'd have a look on the web, confused.com came up as doing classic car insurance, thought I'd give it a go...............

Annual premium

£9,046.10

Monthly premium

1x £1,839.22

9x £900.59

Total: £9,944.53

I have the Quicksprint with Peter James, all mods declared, including the nitrous, less than £100 per year

All of a sudden I find myself with Adrian Flux, watch it with them as they do not include a £15 fee for agreed valuation at the time of the quote. I ranted at them and got away without paying it...but it is there  .

Thanks for the replies, it was just a bit of a joke really.

I am with Peter Taylor insurance & with everything declared plus a very nice agreed value :D it is just over £120.

Worth trying the others suggested for a comparison.

I can vouch for Peter Taylor.
When I insured my Zetec spit they asked if it was modified in any way. I told them yes, ford zetec engine, dellorto carbs, megajolt, type 9 box, 4 pot calipers and so on. They then politely told me that wasn't a serious modification, and wouldn't incur a loading. I repeated I considered it very modified, they again said not to worry.
That is the car I wrote off on the RBRR. The only issue was not Peter Taylor, but Allianz, the underwriters, who didn't want me to have th ecar back. Luckily PT are literally just down th eroad from me, so I popped in with my docs and to explain th eissues I was having. A lovely lady (can't remember her name) gave Allianz a call. And I can imagine the person on the other end wishing for a quick death when she got through to him. She showed no mercy, and eventually my car was delivered back to me FOC from Aberdeen.

So yes, they certainly fight the corner of their insured's.
One downside (small) is breakdown cover was extra, not sure if that is still the case.
