Jensen Interceptor Wedding Car Wanted

#1 Post by Tony Burd »

My brother in law is getting married on 20th September this year and had a Jenson lined up to take him and his best man to the church then take him and his bride from the church to the reception but it has fallen through.

Bit of a long shot but does anyone on here know of a Jenson owner who would be able to step in or hire me his car?

The wedding is in Whitchurch Hampshire.

Thanks

Tony

Tony

If you PM me with a phone number that I can speak with you, I can hopefully assist with this request.

Alternatively my mobile number is in the Club Mag.

I am pleased to report that this story had a happy ending.

Huge thanks to my pal James who threw me the keys to his concours Interceptor this morning and just calmly said, "Take care of it".

A smashing car to drive, and a treat to be able to help out.

I am sure that once the champagne stops running out of his eye sockets Tony will be along with a couple of pictures.

Lovely stuff...

Remember Rush lending me his Stag for my daughters do, which really helped make the day.

Some great people in classic circles.

Note from Admin: sadly Jon passed away in February 2018 but his humour and wealth of knowledge will be fondly remembered by all. RIP Jonners.

Huge thanks to Martin for giving up his time on Saturday morning & equally huge thanks to his friend James for lending Martin his beautiful car (I wish I had friends like that!).

The Groom was over the moon when I told him the car was definitely coming, especially as he put his back out last weekend which made the whole lead up to the big day very stressful, as he was flat on his back up until 3 days before the wedding unable to walk.

Martin turned up at about 10.45am Saturday morning & took the groom, his best man & myself over to the church about a 20 min drive away through the lovely Hampshire countryside, to say this car turns heads is an understatement, just the sound of the 7.2 litre V8 stops any petrol head in their tracks.

We got to the church by 11.30, did all the photos etc & then Martin was on his way.

And yes I did have a stinking hangover yesterday, maybe champagne at 10am on the wedding day wasn't such a good idea!

So once again, thanks to Martin & James.

Here's the car:

Strangely perhaps, I've always loved the rear view of the Jensen. It's so unique - like something out of Thunderbirds or Captain Scarlet!
