I assume there are a few of us put their cars away with the occasional start up during the winter period - just wondering which petrol stabilizer you would recommend or are using.

Fuel Stabilizer
Re: Fuel Stabilizer
my sprint goes to bed on the 1st of November every year, I start her up once or twice a month, never had to use any stabilizer or any additives to stabilize the fuel

Re: Fuel Stabilizer
Same with my 1850.
I run it round the block once per month or so then back in the garage. Come April the tank gets filled up again.

Re: Fuel Stabilizer
I have in the past used some stuff that came from Frosts. I tend to put it in the lawnmower over the winter and come first cut it starts on the 2nd pull usually. Unleaded fuel in particular doesn't have a fantastic life, what I drained out of my Sprint tank looked fine and even smelt of petrol after 5 years and that had the stabiliser stuff in. Usually 5 year old unleaded won't even light.

Re: Fuel Stabilizer
Most of the so called stabilisers are a load of crap and not worth paying for.
My way is to keep the fuel level low and when it comes to starter up the car just brim with a quality fuel.
