Had a nice chat with the Pilkington people at the NEC this weekend. Ordered a new tinted front screen for £260 delivered. Contrast this with the price when buying through a middleman.
In 6 weeks or so I'll let you know whether the rest of the process has gone smoothly.

Re: Windscreens
My windcreen came from Pilkington, it too was made to order, I did it through insurance (just paid the excess).
They only manufacture tinted ones, it is a very slight tint, barely noticeable - nothing like the Sundym ones.

Re: Windscreens
My old screen wasn't tinted at all so anything will be better than that one!

Re: Windscreens
I also have a pilkington front screen again fitted through the insurance, much to my dismay on a very original sprint .
Some f#¥ker dropped something off a bridge , give the old screen it's due it held out and so did my heart

Think I'd have to claim some new pants on insurance too.rich wrote:I also have a pilkington front screen again fitted through the insurance, much to my dismay on a very original sprint .

Re: Windscreens
Can they supply heated screens for the dolomite. The register had some made up for the 2000's. Price was about the same as you mention above.
In this weather a heated front screen would be nice.

I'd buy a couple. When I get chance next year, I'm fitting a heated screen to the old landy too:djw113uk wrote:Can they supply heated screens for the dolomite. The register had some made up for the 2000's. Price was about the same as you mention above.
