Windscreens

Had a nice chat with the Pilkington people at the NEC this weekend. Ordered a new tinted front screen for £260 delivered. Contrast this with the price when buying through a middleman.
In 6 weeks or so I'll let you know whether the rest of the process has gone smoothly.

My windcreen came from Pilkington, it too was made to order, I did it through insurance (just paid the excess).
They only manufacture tinted ones, it is a very slight tint, barely noticeable - nothing like the Sundym ones.

My old screen wasn't tinted at all so anything will be better than that one!

I also have a pilkington front screen again fitted through the insurance, much to my dismay on a very original sprint .
Some f#¥ker dropped something off a bridge , give the old screen it's due it held out and so did my heart

Can they supply heated screens for the dolomite. The register had some made up for the 2000's. Price was about the same as you mention above.
In this weather a heated front screen would be nice.

If you're using in all seasons then heated is the dogs, my old Focus had one and do kinda miss it
