New here and new to Dolomites

#1 Post by Electricblue73 »

So I bought my first Dolomite after years of VWs and Minis.
It's in need of a big end rebuild but should be a lot of fun once done.

Welcome to the forum.

I look forward to seeing your progress (more photos are a must). Don't forget to join the Club. It will be money well spent. Once you've done your bottom end rebuild (I can supply parts catalogues and workshop manuals in PDF format) use some decent quality engine oil and oil filter. One brand of engine oil I recommend is Millers but as long as it is a good brand, it doesn't matter too much. The cheap stuff is only worth bothering with if you only going to run it for a few hundred miles to flush it out.

That's Marty's old 1500TC (trustno1). There are some pictures on here somewhere of it in it's original form.
