Yellow peril Sprint recommission

Hi All
I was prompted to add this thread to capture the recommisioning of the Sprint I bought last week.
Its not a resoration by any means, all I plan to do it get an MOT and enjoy it for a while. The bodywork is OK from a distance and bodywork is not my forte so it will remain pretty much the same.
Here is the things I know it needs to gain that white piece of paper, plus there is another list of other stuff to do.
Replace the rear shocks
Fit new seals and pistons to front brakes
1 x Halogen headlight & 3 sealed beams
Refurb steering rack - play in inner balljoint
Weld small patch on rear of the OS sill
Headlights not working & sidelights go out when headlights are switched on
Rear Indicators not working though one is OK on hazards.
Brake lights not working - reversing lights are though!!
So, I have made a start and yesterday I replaced the rear shoocks for a pair that were in the boot, rebuilt the calipers with new pistons and seals and swapped the one halogen headlight it had for a sealed beam unit. A good days work I reckon and it ticks three items off the list.
I will probably upgrade all the lights to Halogen at some point - and do the same to my Vitesse.
Cheers for now
Glen.
