sadly i've just discovered one of the shock absorber top mount studs on my Toledo suspension (front) is stripped, im hoping i can re tap it with a suitable die but if not does anyone have any advice...i.e. can you fit new studs?? as the whole part assembly (142777) is unavailable everywhere ive looked.

It is possible to replace the bolt Andrew.

To do this it is necessary to remove the shocker assembly from your car and then compress the spring to allow the top plate to be removed.
Once the top plate has been removed it is a case of grinding off the old bolt before welding in a replacement.....
