Dolomite front tie rod. A strange variant.

In this box of bits I also have a Dolomite front tie rod.
This one even looks brand new. It has 2 bright yellow Supaflex type bushes fitted as well.
Now have a look at the piccy and spot the difference......
Yes, there is no hole for the "R-" clip.
Is this a late one designed for a nyloc nut or something ?
Or is it Toledo / or an FWD variant ?

Suspect the end threaded bit has been replaced as they tend to wear.

I've measured it up and have the following :
Lower suspension bolt-hole centre to ARB link hole = 75mm
Ditto to back face of the rear polybush = 262mm
Ditto to end of the threaded section = 318mm.
If this a T2000 part I'd be happy to swap it for an 1850 one.
Same as Sprint I think.

Thanks all for your comments. I found an old one and compared it and yes, it is a Dolomite item. I just need to drill the hole in the end for the R-clip now.

Maybe just put a nyloc nut on there instead? Or is it for originality?

Hi Tony, No, it was more about keeping each side looking the same for the MOT Inspector. He has moaned before about 1 nyloc and one castellated nut on different sides of the MGB. It keeps him happy and he is probably quite right.
