Sprint Oil Pump

#1 Post by Mad Mart »

I've just started rebuilding the engine for the Track Sprint. Before I fitted the oil pump I thought I would give it a strip down & clean up. As soon as I pulled the pump apart I could see scoring around the rotor, although it was within spec.. So thought I better get a new one. I went on to Rimmers site and they have three options. A new unit for £54, an exchange unit for £57 or a repair kit for £31. They seem to be selling a new pump for less than an exchange pump :scratchin: or have I got that wrong? Is it worth just getting the repair kit?

Guess where the 'new' pumps might have been made, as will the repair kits most likely! The refurbed unit will probably have been repaired using a repair kit. I'd look for the best s/h unit you can find personally.
