Anyone travel from Southampton to the midlands?

#1 Post by tony g »

Hi I may need a couple of parts bringing from Southampton to anywhere in the midlands. Does anyone here travel that route that could help?

Cheers

I am going to Southern Triumphs in Dorset on the 1st October and back to London, if it helps.

A detour would not be a problem, dependent on size of parts, and the date, I can bring to London
and could hand over to the next member to bring up closer.

If Mahesh or Chris can drop them at either my Brother's in Ashford (Middlesex) or Jonner's in Hampton, I could get them brought to the Midlands sometime so long as they aren't too heavy or too dirty or too big!

Is it a standard exhaust system?

I can do on the 1st Oct, but do bear in mind my bimmer is only a saloon car with no folding seats or boot access from the inside.

Max length I've put in is a 9 foot copper pipe.

Thanks guys. Alun its rear arches :) Clean new and small to carry so no car worries there. I may have another avenue which could do the whole trip for me (safely lol) so I'll find out later.

I could possibly do the Reading, Berkshire to Stoneleigh link for the Restoration Show if that helps. We'll have a car full of people though. Room for small items I'm sure.

Thanks Tony I'll bear it in mind. Very kind of the offers here, I'm looking at getting TNT to collect if it all goes well. Im not penny pinching (I should be lol), its more about the schedule of getting them in hand to give to the body guy I'm using.

Cheers

If Mahesh can get them to me, I'm in Fleet, 5 Minutes from the M3. I'm coming up for the NEC Classic Car show.
