we are getting closer. just thought i would post a video of it. running. but rough as assholes at the mo!
thats as close as it gets on the dissy timing. meaning that cam must be out.
oh and thats the sound of a spanner falling off the rear kick plate at the end!

Sounds ike you have crossed leads at the dizzy cap to me...check their firing order...and check there is a good healthy spark at the pug of each one

You have a heavy and consistent missfire and it sounds like its 2 cylinders instead of 3...which means crossed plug leads...
Are you suire you've got a spark on each plug?
Its very easy to get 2 leads out on a sprint cap....

You need to look inside the cap to track exactly which terminal each lead connects to...its not as logic would dictate. I've done it, as Jon says; very easily done!

That's the correct order James as long as you moved the dizzy so that the rotor arm was pointing to the lug on the dizzy body when no. 1 piston was at TDC on it's compression stroke, I'm pretty confident you did that.

How do you know it's timed up properly? Are there any markings on the sprocket or do you do a bit at a time until it runs best?

Are you sure both carbs are fuelling properly, cos it really does sound as if its only running on two...
