improving refinement

Something my father complains about in the old 1500HL. Now I will have to strip out the dash to get to the stuck heat vent control, so I thought maybe add a bit of sound deadening to make it a little less deafening at seed.

Now as for as I understand I need material with some mass to it to achieve this. Has anyone got some recommendations?

Dynamat is very good, but not cheap.
If you want cheap, I have used heavy rubber waffle carpet underlay, works very well. Not easy to stick to vertical surfaces though, and can hold water.

Sealing ALL holes/gaps in the bulkhead makes a surprising difference too.

I used Dodo Pro. It's easy to cut and heavy so good for noise dampening.
