R.I.P. Colin Welland
The actor and screenwriter died yesterday at the age of 81. He's probably best know for his appearances in Kes and Straw Dogs. He also wrote the screenplay for Chariots of Fire which won him an Oscar in 1981.

I studied Kes at school and the real star of Straw Dogs was a white Triumph Stag (RVC 430H) which was one of the press cars.
I've got both of these films and Chariots of Fire on DVD.
