Polyurathene Steering column bulkhead bush

#1 Post by GrahamFountain »

Anybody got any recommendations for where to get a poly steering bush from. Best price I can see on fleebay is £13.10 for a Superpro one.

I need a new one because the garage that replaced the rack seem to have lost the one that was in, and replaced it with plasticine. Sometimes I just dispare.

The 16v Slant 4 engine is more fun than the 3.5 V8, because you mostly drive it on the upslope of the torque curve.

B&Y 73 Dolomite Sprint UVB 274M (kids!)
1970 Maroon 13/60 Herald Convertable (wife's fun car).

The Super Flex ones are the only ones I would recommend. Just find the cheapest price.

Not sure why this should be at your expense Graham, as the garage lost the one you had and replaced it with a totally unsatisfactory bodge. They should be grateful that you're apparently willing to refit the bush without charging them for your time or asking them to waste their own time doing it themselves.

I was lucky enough to find a "SuperPro" seller on Oz DolleBay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190916555028 ... EBIDX%3AIT
Its on its way here now.
AU$25 = around 12 pounds
Cheers,

When I bought the Carledo, this bush had been fashioned from common body filler! And that was at least more permanent than plasticine!
With all due respect, a bodge of this nature should at least warrant a visit from Trading Standards!
