Servo Sticking

I was trying to bleed the brakes on XJX this afternoon but no amount of pumping was going to push any fluid through. So I removed the M/C and everything checked out OK and seems to be working fine (I'll stick a new seals kit in any way).

After refitting the M/C I tried to press the brake pedal and it came to an abrupt stop. With the M/C off again, if I hold the rod (on the M/C side of the servo) upwards slightly the servo will free off again but as soon as I let it go it locks up. Any ideas how to cure this?

Hi Mart,
I had exactly this problem whilst bleeding the brakes on my Sprint. It is caused by the large plastic plate inside the servo which is very brittle breaking. Fragments get stuck in the mechanism and cause it lock. I would say its time to find another servo

Regards, Paul.

Mart, have you seen Alun's list of parts that he's auctioning on behalf of Ted. Might be worth putting in a bid on the servo if you already haven't done so.
