Afternoon all! Hope you're having a good sunny day!
I decided to do the first polish of the year today, Ended up taking a lot longer than planned! I dare say its the longest polish I've ever done, took about 3 hours. Totally worth it! However, all I'm doing this afternoon is going to work, so thought I'd put some pictures on here for a more appreciative crowd for her!
Did you buy this from a chatty Jewish lady in central London or does one figure in its history?
I'm sure I've worked on this car in the past....seeing it in pics like that.

Note from Admin: sadly Jon passed away in February 2018 but his humour and wealth of knowledge will be fondly remembered by all. RIP Jonners.
Very nice indeed! There is nothing more surprisingly time consuming than a full on assault with all the polishes and cleaners. When you take a step back though, with your arm fair dangling out of it's socket from all of the buffing, and walk past your labours with an idle flick here and there at a missed bit or two, the pride felt at the gleaming masterpiece left behind is hard to beat.
Current fleet: '75 Sprint, '73 1850, Daihatsu Fourtrak, Honda CG125, Yamaha Fazer 600, Shetland 570 (yes it's a boat!)
Past fleet: Triumph 2000, Lancia Beta Coupe, BL Mini Clubman, Austin Metro, Vauxhall Cavalier MK1 & MK2, Renault 18 D, Rover 216 GSI, Honda Accord (most expensive car purchase, hated, made out of magnetic metal as only car I've ever been crashed into...4 times), BMW 318, Golf GTi MK3 16v x 3
From what know the car started off its life belonging to an 'Edward Cook' in Orpington. The last piece of paperwork with his name on it dates May 28th 1999, then a few years later the car was assessed by 'Mike Last'. After that assessment, all paperwork was in the name of 'Paul Halden' of Wadhurst. At some point in 2009 the car went to Tunbridge wells, to a 'Neil Gardner'. He sold the car to 'James Sturgeon' in Bristol 2011-13 and I bought it off him last year. Do any of those names ring any bells for anyone out there?
James is the only one known to me. I can't remember his forum name.
