The Sprint head is relatively complex. Best to find someone who understands them and who has the tools available in-house to do the necessary work. The head needs to be thoroughly examined to make sure it's nice and flat and not had all the skimming in the world done already. A good builder will charge significantly more than £300 in labour alone, let alone parts.

All depends on what needs doing to it. If you need rockers regrinding, new cam, valves and such like the bill will mount up significantly. As a guide I think we charge £55 per hour +VAT in our workshop.

Hi Simon, I used Oselli a few years back when my Sprint head needed rework. It took quite a long time but they did an excellent job.

http://www.oselli.com/service/engineering

Look 1/2 way down the page to find the link to cylinder head work with capability and prices.

HTH,
Tony.
BTW I believe James on here has used a place near him in North Hampshire.

Simon, Leon and Mick at Roe Automotive in Fleet did mine so they now have the plates to pressure test it.

I think Leon used to build F1 engines.

Tell them James Shephard with the Dolly Sprint on Kings Road, their old neighbour, recommended them.
