Does anybody know if there's a difference between the red and black rubber tipped float needles?
There were red tipped aluminimum ones in the carbs that came with the car. However, they seemed to stick to the seats, after being stood for a month. They have cleaned with some surgical spirit, though. But I ordered some new SU ones, which came in the post just today, and they have black tips.

The 16v Slant 4 engine is more fun than the 3.5 V8, because you mostly drive it on the upslope of the torque curve.
