Sprint Head

#1 Post by Mad Mart »

Has anyone had any experience of a Sprint cylinder head going bad internally? I know they often need to be skimmed but I was thinking of having one pressure tested.
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. :boggle2: ... Still Sprintless.

Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.

The guys at our local garage, who worked on dollys when they were common everyday cars say the alloy heads can rot internally, especially if the wrong coolant was used. Look for a white powder, that is aluminium oxide and could indicate trouble. Have a look in the inlet ports and the water passages.
