Help with Kenlowe in time fpr the show.

#1 Post by 73sprint »

Hello all. Thinking of coming up for the show from Penzance. Thing is my Kenlowe has gone nuts. It kicks in early and doesnt respond to adjustment of the thermo swith until the car is warmed up ???. Sometimes the overide switch works and sometimes it doesnt. Is there a way to wire up the switch seperatly so to guarantee it will work ??? or shall i just put the fan back on

Haven't the answer but I await in anticipation as I am having the same issues.
When I adjust thermostat switch it clicks but fan doesn't come on at all but can hear it click.

I have checked the fan itself by putting a wire across and fan comes on, so I presume it is the switch itself

You can wire it up temporarily as purely manual, 12v feed to overrride switch, switch to fan and fan to earth, it's not rocket science. Take the feed from the unfused side of the ignition controlled fuse (white wires)
