1975......
built and delivered in dec 75 so prob sat at a dealership till 1978...but that does explain the black badges...

We always thought it was an early one Rob didnt we...
Suprpised it was that long though aw Dollies were reasonable sellers at the time, though P regs are very rare now...
You'd have been gutted to buy it at 2 years old and find it was 5 though.

I think that does explain the mix of the car somewhat, supplied late in '75 would mean that it would have a mix of "old and "new" as the relaunch of an entire range of cars called "Dolomite" was launched in March '76.

There was someone else on here with a Sprint which had the same mix of things yours had, I think it even had one correct badge on the boot (for '76 year model) and an "old" style black Triumph badge on the otherside, maybe someone will remember this car?

While it should have sat at the dealership for so long is a mystery, however, there is (or was) a car being advertised on ebay (Honeysuckle Dolomite 1300) that was produced in '76 but not registered until 1982 so it seems to have been not an entirley unique situation.
