Sprint steering wheel removal?

Before I start to make a puller, does anyone have any tips on removing a Sprint steering wheel?

Not specific to a sprint, but has worked on Toledo and well as numerous other triumphs (and other makes)
Undo the nut, then put it back on a couple of turns.
Get a volunteer, or clever wit your knees/arms etc so you can pull evenly on the wheel (ie opposite sides)
While the wheel is under tension a hefty whack with a big hammer.
The reason for the nut being on becomes apparent. If it wasn't you are likely to lose teeth. And also damage the threads on the steering column.

If you're not in a hurry and non-violent, like me, you could try leaving the steering wheel under stress from the puller and spray some WD40 - in all cases I've done this, the wheel moves just enough for you to then take it off. Sometimes it does this in minutes, other times it loosened in about an hour.

Be careful, I've wacked it with the nut half on and stuffed both threads.

I've never had to clout a wheel yet - and only once used a puller, that was on a Volvo Amazon which actually had threads in the wheel for a proper Volvo special tool. I just loosen the nut and give it a good wiggle!

Same here, never needed to use a tool for wheel removal. Nut loose,but still attatched so when it comes off youre not wearing it in the face. Push feet against the floor (or brake pedal if youre happy with your seals lol) and a good pull and wiggle left to right. It will seem to be not moving then pop its loose.
