R front radius arm(drag strut) for 1976 dolomite sprint.
R front radius arm(drag strut) for 1976 dolomite sprint.
I need a new one. Are they available and, if not, is the one from a triumph 2000 the same? Regards KC.
Hmmm.......
No and yes!
No, a T2000 drag strut is not the same
but yes a T2000 drag strut will fit.
Please note, you will need to do both sides.
It is a way of improving the front suspension that was used by BL on the competition Sprints.
Ian.

Think you may need to drill the 2000 drag strut for the Dolomite antiroll bar link though.

No and no. The larger saloon ones are larger. They are longer and the fork that goes around the lower wishbone is slightly wider.
I am going to use these for my rally replica because of the slightly oversize and thicker metal but they have to be shortened first. Currently im using shortened std dolomite ones to accept the larger t2000 bushes what is really an improvement.
For comparison to use the t2000 bushes on a std dolomite drag strut it has to be shortened about 4cm iirc. Not a direct fit.
