are all sprint wheel nuts made of alloy,did they make any in steel ?

All originals were alloy. Some aftermarket ones were made in steel.

Exactly the same as the originals, but much heavier...and they rust.

Someone once told me the originals were designed to be softer than the alloy of the wheel to prevent ovalling of the holes...never seen oval holes though.

The only folk I know who choose to use steel are the racers, due to regulations in some classes....

I have a set of these on mine. I got them when they were on offer before Christmas and they look just the same now.
