Sprint - JRW 317V

#1 Post by Toledo Man »

One of my CT friends knows somebody who previously owned this car and I've offered to ask on here for him. According to the DVLA it is taxed & MoTd.

Anyone on here?

I've only just seen your post when I Googled my reg number.
If you are still a member, I own the car, have done since 2000.
It's very alive and well, unrestored, and in excellent condition with a milage of around 73,000

Holy thread revival!

I've only just seen your PM.
After doing some digging around I found out that the Club Triumph thread was posted by a young man called Jon (whose surname currently eludes me EDIT: I've since remembered. His name is Jon Fallowell) in April 2017. He was my co-driver on a Club Triumph driving event way back in 2007 (NOT the RBRR. I was never THAT hardcore!) when I still owned my Dolomite 1300. He was from somewhere in Warwickshire.

Hi,
I have the complete car history from the DVLA (It was a Triumph Canley MCP car in the first 6 months of its life).
I don't see a Jon Fallowell as a previous owner on any of the documents. I'm the 7th owner.
The car spent most of its early life in the Coventry area (Warwickshire) before being purchased by the person I bought the car from - John Kershaw; he lived in Perry Bar, and he bought the car in 1988.
I purchased it in 2000. So, it has been owned by just two people in the last 36 years.
I have all of the MOT's back to 1986.
It was resprayed by John (It has the wrong stripes), and that's it - The car is more or less, as I bought it - still running original mechanics with no mods, no welding (which I put down to John regularly brushing old engine oil on the underside).
Hopefully, it will with me until I die - I have no plans to ever sell it.
Happy to make contact with person if you still have his details and are still in touch with him.
