I haven't been active on the forum for a long time - young family and a few other things mean I have not had the time to spend on or even drive the Dolomite. I now want to get it back up to a good standard. I have swapped out the engine and gearbox to keep it moving but want to get the originals rebuilt (gearbox very noisy layshaft bearings, engine just generally showing it's age rather than anything specific) and back in.
Due to the current time restrictions (and probably a little bit of ability too!) I am looking for recommendations for both bits of work (have managed to save a little to get these done). Additionally I am looking for someone to do a bit of body and paintwork (and also somewhere to get new rear pillar vinyl)
My Dolomite is a 1980 registered 1850 HL, with overdrive and I am in South Northamptonshire - although I can pallet-ise and courier both the engine and 'box to get it somewhere non-local if there are strong recommendations.
Thanks for any thoughts.
