Other than employing a double jointed Chinese contortionist is there a simple way to refix the rubber window winder knob to the chrome handle.
Mine came off on the way home from the MOT, looks like it's only held on by a starlock washer.
Thanks

Once you have removed the window winder by depressing the door bezel and pressing out the pin that retains the winder onto the shaft you can easily rivet the knob back on with a hammer. You may find that you can't actual turn the knob but you will be able to open/close the window when its has been refitted. To remove the retaining pin you need a long thin screwdriver and to put it back a pair of long nose pliers.

Thanks Richard, I assume that there is no way of doing it without removing the handle.

I've seen two designs for the dolomite so far,
The one on my drivers side was like a permanent riveted type,
however I had a nos knob (no pun) which was a replacement and accepted
a circlip to retain.
Two of the other doors are of the circlip variety as well.

Interestingly I've just had a look at the May 73 parts book and the retainer shown is a P type clip not a starlock type.

I am sure in my thread I posted a picture of a replacement
knob and part number,.
