springs and shocks

#1 Post by series111 »

I am thinking about renewing my springs and shocks on my sprint ,the ones that are on at the moment must be at least 20 years old going by a receipt I have found in the cars paperwork. They are adjustable Spax which the adjusting screws have seized up and by the look it has 1" lowered springs compared to other dollys.
I would like to put the car back to normal height and use standard 140lbs springs all round, I only use the car on the road so looking at standard shocks as well.

I have seen some at the shop in Lincon are these any good and with 15% off at the moment seem a good price.

Looking forward to your suggestions on changing the ride height about the best place to buy the shocks/springs and there quality.

OOh another Southampton owner, have you been in contact with Chris Curtis the are rep?

As for the springs and shocks I would suggest don't bother changing them if they still function.
Some people are like Slinky's, they serve no real purpose in life but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
