Brooklands New Years Day - was it you?

#1 Post by ccherrin »

I was over at Brooklands (Weybridge, Surrey) earlier today and spotted the following:

DVB528J - Pale Blue 1300 FWD
ETV630V - Black 1500 SE
WNA657S - Blue 1500 HL
311HUC - White Sprint (seen in the picture next to my Sprint - YMK895T)

I also spotted a Mk1 Triumph 2000, a couple of Mk2s, several Heralds and a whole host of TRs, Stags and Spitfires, so it was quite a good turn-out for the Triumph brand this year.

Happy New Year.

I don't know who owns DVB 528J but I may know a little of it's history, since I was an apprentice at it's supplying dealer when it was new. I personally PDI'd DVB 539J (apple green Maxi), DVB 545J (Wedgewood blue 2.5Pi) and DVB 546J (Valencia blue 2.5Pi auto) whilst at Uxbridge service station in late 1970.

She's absolutely gorgeous Lee, a credit to you.

And I disagree, 4 dollys is not too many at all.
