I'll continue to make enquiries as if nothing else I'd quite like some decent mounts for my car, I don't particularly care if they're rubber or polyurethane!

I am going to defend those seeking value (OK tightwads). I am willing to spend extra money when I have a guarantee the part is better quality and will last. For my Rover 75 I bought the more expensive suspension arms, clutch parts and engine mount for that very reason. However I trusted the supplier and there was allot of positive feedback.

The problem I have found with classic cars parts is there is no link between price and quality. Paying more doesn't guarantee a better part, often it is the same part sold at a more expensive price. I will only pay more if I know the manufacturer and I know it comes from a good batch.

Alas that isn't information that easy to come by. So if I can guarantee that the engine mount really will last much long and work properly; I would pay double the price of the cost of the junk parts.
