Triumph Dolomite Club International Rally 2018

#1 Post by triumphdolomiteuk »

Triumph Dolomite Club International Rally 2018

When is it?: Sunday 9th September, 10am – 5pm (but you may come and go as you please, there is no obligation on members to be through the gate by a specific time).

Where is it at?: Hatton Country World, Dark Lane, Hatton, Warwick, Warwickshire, CV35 8XA. Just 5 minutes from J15 of the M40.10 miles from J5 of the M42,18 miles from the M69 (Coventry).From the M40 exit at Junction 15 and proceed on the A46 sign-posted Coventry. Take the first slip road exit signed A4177 to Solihull. At the roundabout bear left onto the A4177 following the brown tourist signs to Hatton Country World. After 2.5 miles turn left just after The Hatton Arms Public House onto the B4439. As you arrive at the crossroads turn left into Dark Lane. Follow the lane and Hatton Country World is 1 mile on the left.

How much is it to get in?: it’s FREE! Members or non-members and their families are very welcome to attend. Traders, autojumblers and members of other clubs are also invited, there’s no charge at all.

So what’s it all about then?: It’s our annual get together, guaranteed to be the largest gathering of Dolomites, Toledos and FWD cars in the world! It’s our usual mix of informal concours, autojumble and regalia sales. Hatton Country World is a great place to visit for people of all ages, whether they’re classic car fans or not. There’s craft and gift shops, activities for kids, places to eat – see www.hattonworld.com for full details. A truly great day out for ALL the family – don’t miss it! This year we'll be sharing the site with the Austin 7 owners club and we've been assured that the site will be free of grass cuttings!!!

You may be interested to know that the Austin 7 owners will be holding their rally at the same venue, on the same day. Also, there is a craft fair taking place over the weekend, so lots to see! If members are thinking of making a weekend of it, there are lots of places to stay nearby, as well as onsite camping/caravan facilities. If you are planning to travel to the area on the Saturday, please let us know, we may be able to organise a get-together on the Saturday night.

Visitors may also be interested to know that Heritage Open Days events will be taking place during the weekend and several events will be at locations close to Hatton;

Why not make a weekend of it and visit some of the local events?

Hi Mart, good shout.
Do you hold stock for the LSV rebuild kit?
Could do with one for mine.

Sadly not one member got in touch to say that they would be travelling up on the Saturday, until last weekend, by which time it was far too late to make any formal arrangements. However, some members will be camping at Hatton on Saturday night should you wish to meet up for a beer? There is a decent pub nearby - https://hattonarms.com/ .
