1850 clutch fork.

#1 Post by MIG Wielder »

The 1850 clutch fork pins have worn one sided on mine. Since these pins are not available as replacement parts I thought a good thing to do would be to drive out these pins and replace them 90 degrees round so the unworn section of the pin wears against the bearing carrier.
Problem: I can't seem to extract these pins. Are they welded in as well as being pressed ?
I don't want to distort the fork by trying too hard.
Thanks,
Tony.

I was able to turn the pins through 90 degrees by gripping them in a vice.
