Re: Clutch
Try Larkspeed, they do 3 stages of uprated clutches for Sprints. 140 brake shouldn't need more than a stage 1.
I've only used their stage 1 clutch so far, but it stood up fine to the RBRR, is smooth in operation and not too heavy in service. Can't say on service life as it's only done about 3.5k miles so far, but is seems to do what it says on the tin!

Re: Clutch
The Quicksprint (209 bhp) copes just fine with a standard TR7 clutch; the only reason it is a TR7 clutch is it has the 20 spline LT77 gearbox fitted

Re: Clutch
I can't see the std clutch having issues with 140ish bhp. It is the same as the clutch fitted to teh 2.5PI saloons (OK, 132bhp but a shedlod of torque) and the TR6 etc is the same overall diameter. May even be same cover, but the plate has a slightly larger bore to allow for the slightly larger diameter input shaft used on the TR6 gearbox.

Hmm......
We need to be wary of standard clutches because there are some poor replicas for sale,
(the lack of rivets is a clue....).
Volvo have in the past used the same clutches as Triumph 2000s and Dolomite Sprints,
Jeroen Rothman uses LuK clutches, which is all the recommendation I need.
Here in the UK it seems LuK only sell kits but on the continent they sell components individually,
therefore you can use a Volvo plate under a Saab cover (worthwhile).

I am thinking that this is the one that Jeroen uses?
(The Saab cover is 122 0035 10, which is about 3kg lighter than standard Triumph versions
https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/luk-966071.html#).
I will hopefully be able to get a LuK 23 spline TR7 plate for my Sprint with a T9 'box,
they are out of stock presently.
