A matter of opinion!

Having finally got the Dolomega's engine settled firmly on its mounts, i've refitted the front panelling and bonnet to the body to check clearances.
An initial try fit a few months ago, led me to think that I would need an extra 1/2" above the cam belt cover, so I got this rather fetching T1300FWD bonnet bulge to set into my bonnet and solve this problem with style (Thanks, Bruce!)
However, yesterdays real world test shows that I can get away with it by 3/8" (and torque reaction takes the cover AWAY from the bonnet at this point)
So do I fit it anyway, or keep the bonnet stock? What's YOUR opinion? (not that I promise to abide by it!)
Steve

I would keep the bonnet as standard ,or fit air vents like RS Turbo

I quite like louvres, lots of louvres! But they're expensive to have cut in, awkward to paint successfully and being fuel injected, the engine doesn't need them! The same applies to tacky aftermarket panel vents but even more so!
The pipe feeding the vertical throttle body is also VERY close to the bonnet, i've had to cut a section of the inner bonnet web away to clear it. The possibility exists to put an extra, offset, teardrop TR4 style bulge over that, rather than the centre one which really isn't needed. That might look good too! (but not both)

I like it. It looks mean, and suggests there’s something unusual under there.
Good work.

If the rest of the body is going to be standard,I'd keep the bonnet that way.
I suspect it will be having at least larger than standard wheels though-and probably other modifications. If this is the case then my advice would be do it.

Second that one, if you want to be stopped to answer their questions.

Sure Tony, you get first refusal! I do like it, but i'm leaning towards the (actually functional) teardrop bulge over the intake pipe and the 2 would compete for position! I just need to find a suitable bulge, without having to cut one out of a (doubtless expensive) TR4 bonnet!

Yes, go for it. I think I would make it a little deeper if it was mine!! And normally I don't like straying away from standard!!
