We have them in club stock Denis. Which 'O' ring(s) do you need? If it's just a gasket leak there's no need to disturb the pump itself.

Re: Water pump o ring
Can you just lift the pump of and replace the gasket, can this be done without removing the inlet manifold as a little tight. I have to get my shop to do this as now live in a condo building no more garage

No. To remove the pump cover you will have to remove the inlet manifold as there is a by-pass tube between the cover and the manifold.

Re: Water pump o ring
Hi Denis, the casting you can see under the inlet manifold isn't the water pump, it is its cover; just a lid held down with three bolts and usually not inconsiderable friction. There are gaskets under the cover, but it lifts off to then expose the pump which sits within the block beneath. If you have a leak in this area, I'd be surprised if it is from the pump cover, as once sealed, I can't imagine how it might then be compromised. A common leak area is from the by-pass tube that Mart has mentioned and links between the underside of inlet manifold to top of pump cover; a leak from this can appear to be coming from other areas as it either dribbles down or gets thrown backwards by the fan...
Another area of potential leak is the front of the inlet manifold gasket as there are fewer bolts around this area where the water jacket transfers between manifold and head...

Thanks for all the info I guess I will order the O rings just in case I have a new water pump incl gaskets and a manifold gasket the get it taken apart. The leak is coming down from pump area at rear does the bypass tube have two O rings

Re: Water pump o ring
Are you getting water out of the cover or the slot below ?
Plenty of water pump removal pics on this forum which would give you an idea
of what needs be removed to take cover off. sorry bit rushed to find them.
However I would say, I suffered from a blockage in the thermostat cover which
forced water out of the waterpump slot, would have saved me four rebuilds of the
waterpump if found first.

Re: Water pump o ring
It’s hard to see were exactly the leak is coming from but leak is from rear of cover. Thanks for all the info will have to pull inlet off and go from there. Thanks again Denis

Re: Water pump o ring
I've also seen leaks which appear to be the cover (or the heater hose takeoff from it) and were actually from the steel pipe between the two segments of the inlet manifold corroded and leaking. I'd also be minded to pay careful attention to the water gallery at the front end of the inlet manifold gasket and bypass pipe O rings before lifting the pump cover as they are much more likely culprits.
The good news is that if water is pooling on top of the block and in the core plug behind the pump cover, it's not the pump itself to blame!
