Evening all,
I’d like to remove the Sundym windows from my car. The Haynes manual doors in chapter 12, section 11, step 9....
Detach the regulator arm from the channel.
How do you do that please ?
Does anybody know of a door glass removal guide ?
Thanks, Richard

Re: Door glass removal
it's been a while but from memory:
With the window fully closed unbolt the regulator from the door. Wind the regulator down keeping the glass up, part way through the travel it should be possible to slide the arm out of the channel on the glass. Once loose keep winding the regulator all the way down, it is most compact that way and easier to jiggle out of the door.
Remove the door skin reinforcer, this will help with the next step.
To get the glass out unbolt the lower slide channel section (rear of glass on a front door) then move the glass down into the door and free it from the channels. Remove the inner and outer window seals to give more room to extract the glass. The glass will then turn 90 degrees and come out through the slot.

Re: Door glass removal
Only thing I'd add to that is that I could have done with someone to hold the glass at the point I was removing the regulator - the only thing holding it up is the friction from the seals, and that wasn't enough to stop it dropping.
