Propshaft centre bearing, which one please?

#1 Post by cliftyhanger »

Looking to replace the prop centre bearing, and like the idea of the Transit alternative.
But which one? There are a few. MAny seem to be the 30mm type, which is what I have measured the one on the car as, but any other clues?
I have dug up Iains old post, but the links are all dead now.

Ta :D

This type Clive.

The photo has it located upside down, the thickest rubber section should be at the bottom.

Thanks Ian.
I have ordered a genuine OEM ford one (£30, a bargain as the repro dolly ones are over £50 now)
#Also ordered some 1" long brass nuts for the downpipe as one of mine stripped as I was tightening it.
Now just the electrics to sort with a set of 5 relays plus an additional fusebox. Reassemble the prop (the chap at Propshaft Services showed me how to pop the CV apart without any disassembly!) and then get using it again. Its been too long....
Oh, and a bit of bodywork/respray is on the cards, it is being used for my eldest daughters wedding in the autumn
