OD Inhibitor switch actuation

#1 Post by Sundowner »

Hi,
This is regarding my October '75 Sprint.
I've never had the gearbox apart to see for myself, but I hope you can tell me what it is that the ball in the OD inhibitor/isolation switch bears upon. Is it directly onto the selector shaft with indents, or a cam attached to the shaft?
Thanks,
Rob

Yes it is that the ball in the OD inhibitor/isolation switch bears directly onto the 3rd and 4th selector shaft with indents so the O/D is only engaged when in either of these 2 gears and the gear leaver switch is ON.
