Rev counter light bulb holder source

#1 Post by GrahamFountain »

Does anybody know of a source for the bulb holders that push in the back of the rev counter and speedo. That or something that fits in the hole well enough - it's for a an 1850 counter to fit in the Herald and modded to match the speedo - with a pointer arm off an old Herald speedo. So it's going to need leads making up anyway.

The 16v Slant 4 engine is more fun than the 3.5 V8, because you mostly drive it on the upslope of the torque curve.

Factory 1977 TR7 Sprint FHC VVC 697S (Now all of, but still needs putting together)
B&Y 73 Dolomite Sprint UVB 274M (kids!)
1970 Maroon 13/60 Herald Convertable (wife's fun car).

I'll have to check the hole is 5/8ths, but it looks like the one. Thanks

Yes, Autosparks definitely supply them - I had an entirely new loom including new bulb holders made for my Toledo.

I can dig you out a pre-owned one, with a length of the correct colour wire if you so desire.

Thanks for that Steve. I've yet to check, but I realized I should have a spare in the garage, and I'm a ways away from fitting the tacho in the Herald - means swapping in a Vitesse dash I have re-varnished. So I'll get back to you.
