Insurance providers
Any recommendations for classic car insurance with agreed value ?, i am with Footman James at the moment but they have upped last years price from £95 to £125

Re: Insurance providers
I alternate between them and Lancaster Insurance (was Sureterm) because all insurance companies quote higher for year 2.
Current fleet: '75 Sprint, '73 1850, Daihatsu Fourtrak, Honda CG125, Yamaha Fazer 600, Shetland 570 (yes it's a boat!)
Past fleet: Triumph 2000, Lancia Beta Coupe, BL Mini Clubman, Austin Metro, Vauxhall Cavalier MK1 & MK2, Renault 18 D, Rover 216 GSI, Honda Accord (most expensive car purchase, hated, made out of magnetic metal as only car I've ever been crashed into...4 times), BMW 318, Golf GTi MK3 16v x 3

Dolomite 1300,1980`V`reg in british racing brown(russet),3.63 diff with 21t speedo pinion,95%poly`d,HL clocks, standard wheels with SE covers wrapt in 175 70 13,mot`d 19-09-2014,been off the since 1990,(july2017) stainless steel exhaust 3-piece,(xmas2018) wooden mountney steering wheel,(june2020) new monroe shock(radial front,gas-matic rears) with -1" lower`d springs all round.
Re: Insurance providers
I would rather put 30 quid in the petrol tank than pay a 25% increase for the same cover, shopping around is good, there's no discount for loyalty and only a increase in the price , Lancaster insurance are quoting £93 for the same cover and a £3000 increase in value.tamtrucks wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 7:48 pm moaning over 30 quid,,,i could understand if it was 100 or 150 more but 30.....come one

Re: Insurance providers
This year I went with Classic Line, they offered me the same insurer, Highway, with the same cover as Adrian Flux for £60.00 less.

Re: Insurance providers
I've been with Peter James for a number of years and have both my classics on one policy. Very easy to deal with and no out-of-order price hikes other than what you might expect from inflation. For my 1850 Dolly and my very heavily modified 4 litre MGB GTV8, this year's premium was £230. Last year it was £226. They have a full list of all the many mods on the MG. The BGT has an agreed value of £14,500 and the Dolly £4,000.

Re: Insurance providers
I did try them, but sadly could not compete on a multi car policy. Even though they were all classic'sgeeksteve wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 12:40 pm+1 for these guys.Classiclineinsurance wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 11:28 amHi, we would love to look at a quote for you.
