Heater controls fascia removal tips. Dolly 1500hl

#1 Post by Zeus »

Hi all,
Any tips on removing the heater fascia so I can get at the gubbins behind.
One lever is bent and needs straightening and a cable has popped off another.
Manual says two screws hold on from inside but how do I getbto them?

Dash unscrewed and pulled forward, glovebox + clock out, then get at the screws from each side. Massive faff.
I managed to re-attach the cable to the centre control with the dash and glovebox out without removing the clock and fascia just to avoid the extra messing about.

Make sure each of the control levers are properly centered in each of the trim-panel slots, otherwise over time, the levers will scrape slivers of plastic from the edges of the slots. This is something which happened with my original factory-fitted Toledo dashboard!
