The rear float chamber on my Sprint was spewing out fuel. On inspection I was surprised to find that unlike the front chamber the rear one does not have an overflow tube. There is simply a hole that is covered with a small clip. Having fuel pouring in the vicinity of the coil and distributor doesn't seem like a good idea.
Mine is a 1980 model but I think that the carbs are from an earlier model.
Is this the same on all Sprint carburetors or did different years have on overflow tube. Can I get a chamber lid that has an overflow tube that I can route to the road.
I have ordered new float valves which should stop the leak but I would like to improve the set up.

Re: Carb Overflow
It should have an overflow the same as the other one (but obviously a mirror image), sounds like someone has fitted a wrong cover?
Somebody on here will have an HS6 rear carb lid or you can buy new from Burlen for £66 - but that does include a new needle valve and float!
