Quarter lights

#1 Post by Malsprint »

Is there a way to adjust the tension/resistance on the quarter lights. Mine close at anything above 20 mph. It’s gets very hot here in Denver. The airflow from the quarter lights help a bit.

that will be because the plastic/nylon clamp that provides the resistance has broken, a very common age related fault.

^ what Alan said.

It's located at the bottom of the pivot inside the door. I think I recall Polly Booker experimenting with 3d printed replacements some years ago, but don't know if they were successful or not...Polly? Paul?

Yes my wife Polly did make them on her 3D printer and I have used several on different projects.

However, they are now available from Chris Witor.
