Sprint overdrive gearbox cross member

Hi All,

I'm in the process of pulling together all of the parts I need to restore a 78 sprint. I think I've just about got everything with the exception of the cross member for the gear box, the gearknob with switch and the exhaust.

Can anyone help me out with anywhere that might supply the cross member? Is it the same as any other models? There is one on ebay at the moment however, it's for non-overdrive, can this be modified or will it just fit (I'm assuming not)

Everything else I think I can source.

I'll also post in wanted, just in case someone has one.

The cross member is the same for overdrive 1500 and 1850 models, part number 218519. The 1500/1850 non-overdrive one will be of no use to you, though the non-overdrive Sprint does use the same cross member. You'll likely need the rectangular washer which fits to the underside of the gearbox mount as well.

I have a spare cross member here in Stourbridge and can also help you with a gear knob and switch

I would definitely be interested in the bits you have and as it happens my brother lives in Alvechurch and my father lives in Hereford (I'm Surrey) so either place is in striking distance of Stourbridge for me.

I'm not sure when I'll next be that way, but I would think it will be in the next month if that's not too much of a pain for you.
