My daughters 1300 Toledo needs a new clutch slave cylinder which Rimmers can supply at an eye watering £186. However I have been looking at the GSY103 cylinder for Spitfires that has the same bore size (0.875"), and appears to have the same mounting configuration and is only £37.80. Can anyone shed light on the differences?. I suspect it is just the thread size where the pipe fits being 3/8 unf and not 7/16unf for the Toledo plastic pipe, but if that is correct it can be easily remedied with an adapter.
Cheers, Ralph

Can I recommend you source the cylinder from Abingdon Parts for Triumph? These are the same part as the well documented problematic 1500 slave cylinders, and Abingdon have put time and effort into resolving the problem whereas other suppliers may send you a unit that has a very short life!

Should I have problems again, I will get one of those for my 1500 SE.

Re: Toledo 1300 clutch slave options?
Having owned Toledos/OHV Dolomites since the early 1990s continuously, I have never had to replace a clutch slave cylinder. While they do fail, all of them have responded well to replacement seal kits and occasional fluid flushes - so I can recommend this as a far more economical option.
