Sprint Slave Cylinder

#1 Post by Damson6 »

I had an incorrect slave cylinder fitted which jammed. So have just bought a new Sprint clutch slave cylinder TKC2786 listed for a Dolomite Sprint.
It appears to work fine with a cut down push rod but the only misgiving is that it is machined flat on the wrong face?
Should I be concerned or are they all like that now?
Looking on E bay they all seem to be machined flat on the front side!

Cheers Derek

There are several iterations of that slave cylinder, some have the mounting ears in the right place, some don't. Some are machined on one side others on the other. I suspect the one you have was originally destined for a Land Rover

Yes I notice it is also listed for a Land Rover, I suppose as long as it works?

They work fine, I have one here in club stock that has been stainless steel sleeved that’s machined flat on the forward facing side, but it’s original AP casting as I’ll only get those or Girling marked ones done.
