Hi Guys,
I am going to fit an oil pressure gauge to my Sprint.
What pressure should I expect hot and cold? on idle and 3000 rpm.
Cheers

Re: Oil Pressure
The official number is 50psi at 2000rpm stinking hot.
A good engine will show 60psi @ 3000 rpm and maybe 40psi @ idle cold. 50-60psi @ 3000rpm and around 20psi @ idle hot.
If it shows MORE than 60 psi under any conditions, (I've seen one that produced upward of 80psi, just before it blew it's modified spin-on oil filter clean off) it has the wrong spring in the oil pressure relief valve. This should be corrected ASAP, before it blows all the seals out!
