Sill, and PRO restoration piccies...Dialup friendly (ish)

I've just been to look at PRO, and the front part of the passenger side sill has been welded on a bit wonky, so the front of it doesn't line up with the curve of the front wing. I was wondering if anybody had happened to use the back part of a cover sill for patching and has the front part hanging around doing nothing?

Hi Dave
Gary got me a full cover cil form his local stockist for about 18 quid last week so Tony should be able to get one from the same place.
Failing that the full club zintec ones are available form Alun for not a lot more.
Saw your shell....looking like some good progress there mate.
Get Tony to take some pics.

Note from Admin: sadly Jon passed away in February 2018 but his humour and wealth of knowledge will be fondly remembered by all. RIP Jonners.
Right, got round to the pictures...Sorry there's so many...

Nasty bit of grot in the sill...

And some grotty bits on the inner wing.

Sill was OK inside, so a new end cap fabricated...

and painted...

And painted a bit more. Note the new inner wing...

There was a big hole in the turret, and the box section was shot, so the new panel seemed the most economical way. Hopefully this will finally cure my turning left woes...

Both rear arches had been bodged a couple of times, so new metal was in order. Here the outer bit is cut and lots of primer sprayed on the inner...

New panel in...

Loads of primer.

And a couple of other shots for fun. The new driver's footwell and chassis leg are in this week with luck, and then the outer front wing gets put back on again and "phase 1" is finished.
